Volunteer Learning and Development Program

Volunteers are at the heart of Crohn’s and Colitis Canada. Our organization was founded by volunteers, and that legacy remains important to this day.

We value learning and development opportunities to empower volunteers with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to make a meaningful impact. By investing in volunteer growth, we hope to enhance effectiveness, increase satisfaction, and build a stronger, more committed volunteer community that is best equipped to advance the organization’s mission.

The new Volunteer Learning and Development Program has replaced the GUTS Conference, offering a fresh approach to connecting and collaborating with volunteers to drive meaningful change and enhance the overall volunteer experience. This fall, we’re offering monthly sessions that give volunteers the chance to connect directly with the President and CEO and board members, gain a comprehensive understanding of our programs, and join in celebrating 50 years of Crohn’s and Colitis Canada.

The Volunteer Learning and Development Program will be virtual events available to all active volunteers with Crohn’s and Colitis Canada. If you’re interested in participating or want more information, please reach out to your staff partner or the Volunteer Engagement team. We look forward to having you join us!
